Missouri has a host of fantastic community colleges that can be extremely helpful for students. Here’s a look at a few of the best community colleges in Missouri.

Metropolitan Community College - This Missouri college has over 80 full-time employment programs and strong transfer programs designed to help students complete the first two years of a four year degree. There are also four campuses to choose from, each well-funded with a variety of programs covering every educational need. Metropolitan Community College is a strong choice, with small classes and variable class times. No matter what your schedule is, you should be able to find a suitable program to meet your goals.

St. Louis Community College – This St. Louis college has a lot of things you wouldn’t expect to find in a community college. There’s numerous activities programs, transfer help, a large, well-equipped campus, and a vibrant student body. One of the best community colleges in Missouri. STLCC offers tuition assistance for some students, and has four campuses in and around the city.

DeVry University – DeVry has 75 undergraduate locations nationwide, including a location in Kansas City, Missouri. DeVry is a more career oriented university. It’s a better community college for people looking to get into a chosen career than as a transfer school. Their career counseling department can be a great resource for new students, and many graduates are able to begin work right out of college. DeVry is a good choice for the career oriented in any state, and its Kansas City, Missouri campus is certainly up to par.

Vatterott College – Vatterrott is another career oriented community college. Unlike DeVry, its locations are entirely in the Midwest. It offers a variety of programs, and like many community colleges, there are a good amount of night and early morning classes. It should be simple for career-oriented college-goers to find the time to attend one of Vatterott’s campuses, including a campus in St. Louis. Financial aid is available for many students at Vatterrott.

Ozarks Technical Community College – This community college has an emphasis on computers and technical fields. Located in Springfield and Richwood, Missouri, OTCC has online courses and a beautiful main campus in Springfield. It’s also a great community college to get a GED or other certification, and offers both career and transfer programs. A great community college with high quality courses, from fine arts to computer degrees.
